Ireland is a land apart. Almost impossibly romantic, its criss-crossed with fuchsia – filled hedges and ringed by towering sea cliffs.

Ireland boasts the finest pubs in the world… venue for pure fun, singing and of course drinking. The Irish say and so say many, that their Bush mills whisky is the best in the world! And for records, it’s the oldest whisky brand in the world.

And for the Golfer, an absolute paradise… 4 of the world’s top 20 golf courses and located in Ireland.

Rambling through unspoilt countryside, there’s time for contemplation…Spectacular scenery is hard to avoid.

An intoxicating combination of breathtaking landscape, colour, light and moving waters has brought the Cliffs of Moher, the Ring of Kerry, Killarney of horses and courses fame and the Giant’s causeway to the attention of the world.

The elegant, ivy-clad buildings and delightful quadrangles and gardens have seen a procession of famous graduates, recently including Prince William. The medieval centre of St.Andrews, with its narrow alleys and cobbled streets, leads to the now ruined cathedral (once the largest in Scotland) and the adjacent church of St.Regulus, where you can climb the spiral staircase to the top of an 108-foot tower for magnificent views of the town and its surroundings. Loch Ness

Loch Ness is probably the best-known Scottish loch, thanks to its famous resident – Nessie, the exceedingly friendly, though unfortunately extremely elusive, Loch Ness monster. You can find out all about her at two dedicated visitor centres in Drumnadrochit if you wish. We take you on a boat trip on the loch to get a closer look, or scan the waves from the ruins of picture-postcard Castel Urqchart. Do say hello if you see her. Castel Urquhart was blown up in 1692 to prevent it falling into Jacobite hands; what’s left is a classic romantic ruin jutting out into the loch. Loch Ness is 23 miles long and very, very deep – there’s plenty of room for a monster.

It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986, and a National Nature Reserve in 1987 (by the Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland). In a 2005, the Giant's Causeway was named as the fourth greatest natural wonder in the United Kingdom. According to one of the legends, the giant Finn McCool fancied a female giant on the Scottish island of Staffa and built some stepping stones to the island where similar rock formations are found. The more prosaic explanation is that lava erupted from an underground fissure and crystallised some 60 million years ago. Return to Belfast and city tour. Indian dinner
